Westside Chemistry students did an experiment to calculate the percent sugar of popular beverages to determine how much sugar we are taking in from these beverages. They then presented their results to several classes and faculty members.🖤🤍#Westside #Renegades #sugarconcentration # chemistry

🚌‼️Wednesday, February 23, 2022 Westside High School Road Branch Elementary and Middle School Bus 211 will not be running the morning run. AM Runs: Westside High School Bus 186 will pick up her students in main creek first then towards the county line. Road Branch Elementary and Middle Bus 186 will begin at the Fire Department at 7:10, the to the Logan County line, then pick up students in main Huff Creek. Students from the Fire Department towards the County Line will be around 10-15 minutes early!

‼️Westside High School will be hosting a FAFSA Day for seniors and their parents on Thursday, February 24th from 10:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. If you have not already completed your FAFSA, this is a great opportunity for seniors and parents to work individually with FAFSA experts to get their FAFSA completed. You will need to bring your 2020 income tax returns, student and parent emails, and social security numbers. Seniors and at least one parent need to attend this important event! This will be the FAFSA Day before the important March 1st deadline. Reminder: In order to qualify for the Promise Scholarship, you must have BOTH your FAFSA and PROMISE applications submitted to the processing office on or before March 1, 2022.🎓 #informWycoSchools

Environmental science students at Westside created presentations describing the different relationships between species and showed examples of each type.👏🏼 #ShowcaseWyCoSchools

Westside forensic science students used strawberry and chocolate syrup to create examples of blood spatter on different printouts of common rooms. The students used their investigative skills to determine what could have happened in the room to cause the patterns.🧐🔬

Tanner Walls, Westside High senior, signed a letter of intent today to play golf next year at Bluefield University. Tanner was joined by family and coaches to complete the signing. Numerous friends and faculty members joined in celebrating Tanner’s accomplishment. The entire Westside family is so very proud of Tanner.👏🏼 #ShowcaseWyCoSchools
